Chebeague Island Inn has all the charm and character of what one would envision for a quintessential Maine island inn. Perched on a hilltop, the inn offers sweeping views of Casco Bay, the distant mainland, and the island’s 9-hole golf course. It’s an idyllic setting for a Maine wedding. So, we were ecstatic when we received the call from Real Maine Weddings inviting us to style the scenes for the magazine’s fashion shoot for the July 2016 issue at Chebeague Island Inn.
Last summer, a small group of us ferried out to the Chebeague Island Inn to scout locations on property for the September shoot. As we approached the Chebeague Island ferry landing, you can’t help but notice how the owners of the Chebeague Island Inn have done an excellent job maintaining the visual historical integrity with it’s classic and timeless architecture. The great room is welcoming with the stone fireplace and intimate seating areas. Walking onto the porch, I thought to myself – “now, this is what Maine living is all about”. The views overlooking the golf course and down the water are magnificent! With lobster boats and sailboats dotting the harbor and seeing fisherman on the wharf hauling in their daily catch, it’s a picturesque Maine island setting. All of which can be seen in the images captured by Brea McDonald Photography in the July 2016 issue of Real Maine Weddings.
